Border Fine Arts Otter and Trout WW5 Vintage 1989 by Elizabeth Waugh. Otter with Brown Trout on wooden plinth. Height is approx 7 3/4″ inches, length of otter is approx 7 1/8″ inches, diameter of wooden base is approx 7 1/4 inches. It weighs approx 927 grams. Kit Kat mug in photo is to show size. Here we have for sale a rare Border Fine Arts model of a rainbow trout. The beautifully crafted hand finished model is signed David Walton and was issued in 1991 from Scotland’s Border works at Langholm. The figure has the maker’s sticker on the base together with its catalogue number 141 and designation “Rainbow Trout”. The model is preowned but in superb original unmarked condition with no damage. It has spent its life in a closed display cabinet. Vintage preowned items are rarely flawless. Please be aware that with vintage items there may be small marks or flaws created in manufacture that are not mentioned because they are insignificant and do not detract from the overall beauty and quality of the item. E assured that if there is any damage or major faults to an item, I detail it in the description or photographs. The figure is realistically modelled and finely painted, recognised hallmarks of Border’s finely produced models. Stylish Border Fine Arts OTTER AND BROWN TROUT on plinth BFA WW5 E Waugh. Offered for sale is. This lovely Large Border Fine Arts Model Otter and Brown Trout (Otter Swimming with Brown Trout River Scene) on a wooden plinth. It is model number W55 and was modelled by master modeller Elizabeth Waugh. I have taken pictures all around the model with a good quality digital camera and paid extra for zoom and enlargement so you can see that it looks and displays beautifully. The stylish model is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. The colours are still bright and measures about 20cm tall and about 20cm long on its plinth.
