Brambly Hedge The Millennium Snow Ball Tableau – B0555 – Boxed. A fantastic and intricate limited edition Brambly Hedge scene entitled The Millennium Snow Ball produced by Border Fine Arts exclusively for Wheelers of Loughborough. The Millennium Snow Ball features Lord and Lady Woodmouse in the Ice Hall along with two musician mice performing on a raised platform under an archway covered in holly leaves and beneath a (removable) sprig of mistletoe. The fabulous scene is presented on a wooden plinth, it has a metal name plate on the front and is marked on the back as being number 291 of 999. It was modelled by Ray Ayres and issued in January 2000 in a Limited Edition of 1500, of which this is no. It is a large group figurine, dimensions 40cm x 18cm x 14.5cm high, and weighing approx 3.087kg or 6lb13oz on its plinth. It is in very good condition, no chips or cracks, the left horn of the leading sheep has been reaffixed (please see photos), and comes on its wooden plinth, no box or certificate. Please have a look at the photos to confirm the condition, request more photos if required.

This stunning sculpture, created by the artist Ray Ayres for Border Fine Arts, was commissioned by The Posthorn, Castle Douglas. It is presented here in the original box and protective packaging together with a Certificate of Quality and the Certificate of Authenticity which certifies that it is number 250 of a strictly limited golden Edition of 350 pieces out of an edition of 950. It is a large model, 19ins (49cm) in length and in superb condition. “Clean Sweep” depicts a farmer and his horse’sweeping’ up the hay using a wooden Haysweep (or Tumbling Tam), an American invention that arrived in Britain in the late nineteenth century. Employed with a single, steady fast walking horse it scooped up the hay in a mounting pile ready to be dropped into a cart. The classic scene, captured here, would have been a common sight until the advent of pick-up hay balers in the 1950’s. Thank you for your interest. Please check out my other listings.
