Large and highly detailed Border Fine Arts sculpture titled “Supplementary Feeding” (JH57) from the James Herriot collection. This piece was modelled by J A Butler and produced in Scotland in 1990. It is a limited edition example, numbered 1335 of 1750. The scene captures a traditional countryside setting, featuring a horse and cart, farmer, sheep, and working dog, all set on a textured base and mounted on the original wooden plinth. The level of detail across the figures and landscape is excellent, making it a strong display piece. Measures approximately 37 cm in width. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Please note: this piece does not include the original box or certificate. A solid and desirable Border Fine Arts model, ideal for collectors of rural and farming scenes.

“Spring Show” sculpted by Ray Ayres for Border Fine Arts, in 2002, is another multicoloured masterpiece. Made of top-quality resin it is a substantial piece, measuring approximately 25cm high and a base 20cmins x 30cm, it weighs about 3½kgs. It depicts a vixen enjoying the spring sunshine having endured another winter. Below her, peeking out, we can see her three new cubs snug and safe, in their den. Thank you for your interest. This Ray Ayers masterpiece was sculpted for Border Fine Arts in 2000 and is a multicoloured sculpture made of top-quality resin. A substantial piece, more than 40cm in length, it is packed with details that demand repeated viewings. It is presented on a polished wooden plinth. Hand painted in Scotland ” Logging” is a limited-edition piece (104/1750) that depict a farmer and his gallant workhorse as they return from a hard day’s tree felling. As they trek home, we can see evidence of their past labours in the tree stumps along the well-trodden path.
