Absolutely stunning figurine by Border Fine Arts, sculpted by Elizabeth MacAllister. Issued; 01/87 in a limited edition of 1,500, this particular piece being number 861. Very good condition for a pre-loved, 36 year old figurine, no crazing or fading but unfortunately the shepherds left hand at the wrist has suffered a break and has been repaired. It also looks as if the collie’s base of the tail has been stabilised. Both repairs are minuscule and certainly do not stand out like a sore thumb. It still displays beautifully and tells the wonderful story of a shepherd bringing his flock down from the hill’s. The condition so good for an old pre-loved sculpture that it will make an excellent present / gift to any Border Fine Art collector or farming / shepherd enthusiast. The sculpture comes complete with a beautiful wooden plinth with green felt base, complete with the original BFA gold label (hand made in Scotland) sticker to the base. The colour’s; Cream, black, white and grey. Overall height; 6 1/2. Series; All Creatures Great and Small. This is an wonderful, large sculpture in good condition, modelled by Border Fine Art’s sculptor Elizabeth MacAllister and displays beautifully, a very eye catching, impressive piece of art. Due to the unfortunate damage I have reduced this figurine drastically and offer at a very competitive price for a highly sought after piece. You may should you prefer collect in person and as I live alongside Rye Harbour Nature Reserve you can spend some quality time looking at the wonderful water fowl that are present on the reserve. The new owner of this wonderful figurine will not be disappointed.
