This is a superb example of the seldom seen Border Fine Arts Model No 118 of a “Herdwick Ewe” by their master sculptor Ray Ayres. The Herdwick Ewe was introduced in January 1990 & retired December 1991 & now commands a very high value. The mounted piece measures 6″ x 4.5″ x 4 high, and is in excellent condition. The base of the plinth is covered in green baize & the figurine has the BFA label.
