Border Fine Arts vintage figurine Off to the Fair, model no. EG06, was modelled by Anne Wall as part of The James Herriot Collection. It was issued in the spring of 1994 in a Limited Edition, this is no. 80 of 1994 produced. It depicts a farmer and child on horseback on their way to the fair. The girl is holding a basket containing a rabbit and they are accompanied by a border collie. The horse is in the bay colourway. The figurine comes with its original Certificate of Authenticity and is mounted loose on a wood base; overall length is approx 23.5cm or 9.25″, height on the base is approx 17cm or 6.75″. It is in very good condition with no breakages. Please have a look at the photos to appreciate it as they form part of the description.

“The Haywain” was created for Border fine Arts by the talented artist Anne Wall and issued in 2004 as a strictly limited edition of just 1500 of which this is number 173. Which is engraved on the piece with the artist’s name. It is presented on a polished wooden base, unboxed and will travel to you safely and securely packaged. The Haywain, or Hay Wagon was a large open vehicle, pulled by horses, used to carry loads of cut and dried meadow grass (hay). Anne has created this realistic study of a Haywain being loaded up by a farmer and his farmhand prior to being used to transport the hay back to a storage barn, ready for winter. This is a very desirable piece by Anne Wall and is number 1107 / 1250 and fully signed to the side with Anne Wall with the 1107 of 1250, there is no certificate. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration and displays beautifully on its wooden plinth base. Extreme care is taken in packing china, glass and fragile items, using extensive bubble wrap, tape, peanuts and often double boxing so there is a small contribution charged for the packing materials used.
