Designed by Ray Ayres, this hand-painted cold cast resin sculpture depicts a young shepherd pausing beside a dry stone wall with his faithful Border Collie companion. The figure is complete with its original removable wooden plinth. Height: 20 cm (7.87 inches). Width: 17 cm (6.69 inches). Depth: 15 cm (5.91 inches). Weight: 892 g (31.46 oz). Superb vintage condition with no damage. Complete with the original removable wooden plinth. The painted finish remains bright and clean. The moulded detail remains crisp throughout. The original foil label is no longer present. The figure locates securely onto the plinth using the original two locating lugs and matching sockets. Sculpted by Ray Ayres and dated 1987, it is the Time For Reflection (JH19) model. The underside is moulded BFA Scotland, carries the sculpted AYRES signature and is also moulded James Herriot. It remains complete with its original wooden plinth and displays well. Collector Savings? I set dispatch times a little longer to allow for unexpected delays, although I often send items out much sooner. I use recycled and reused packaging wherever possible, so sometimes the materials have clearly had a previous life, but every item is packed carefully and securely.
