The (PJ01) “Gentle Giants” sculpture by Ray Ayers, manufactured by Border Fine Arts in 1992, is a limited-edition collectable piece made of top-quality resin. The standard edition was issued in a Limited edition of 750. This is the RARE GOLD edition limited to 150 and is signed by the artist. It is number 31/150. There is no box or certificate, but the limited-edition status is clearly visible on the piece itself. It is presented on a handsome light wood plinth which bears the Gentle Giants legend on an engraved metal plate. This very rare piece is in need of some restoration hence the reduced asking price. The restoration is actually a case of repositioning the central strut then “sorting out” the chains etc! A task requiring nimbler fingers than mine! Handmade in Scotland, it depicts a Tetley Dray, pulled by “Rodney” & “Jasper” on parade with the drivers proudly clad in their ceremonial uniforms. Thank you for your interest.
