Up for sale is a beautiful, highly detailed vintage countryside figurine titled “Moses and Bertha” (Model JH3) from the renowned James Herriot Collection by Border Fine Arts. This nostalgic piece was modeled by master artist Ray Ayres and first introduced in 1985. The sculpture portrays a realistic rustic farm setting with Bertha, a large white sow, resting comfortably on a bed of straw while nursing her eight piglets. Perched closely above on a dry stone wall is Moses, the inquisitive black cat, watching over the family scene. Key Features:Authenticity: Clearly incised with the molded signature “Ayres 1985″ on the textured front border of the base. Craftsmanship: Hand-painted details capturing realistic textures from the wooden fence grain to the individual strands of straw bedding. Dimensions: Approximately 3.5 inches High x 5.75 inches Long. Condition:In very good pre-owned vintage condition with no major chips, cracks, or restorations.
