Border Fine Arts German Shepherd Rare 1982 by Ray Ayres (supplied with base). Height 16cm (7 inches). Width 12cm (5 inches). Length 20cm (8 inches). Master Sculptor and Designer, Ray Ayres has endorsed this. Which makes this a rare and highly collectable, in excellent condition (please see pictures). This model was not supplied with a base and the base has faded. Cannot be brought new! The Beginning of Border Fine Arts. Border Fine Arts was founded in 1974 in Langholm in the Esk Valley, on the border of Scotland and England – hence the company’s name. The majority of the pieces are created and made by hand. End of an Era for Border Fine Arts. Border Fine Arts being highly successful for several decades, a decline in demand led to the closure of the firm in 2016.
