Vintage and extremely Rare Border Fine Arts “Baby Rabbit”. To be signed for. Sculpture signed by artist Victor Hayton dated 1976. Certificate indicates 242 of 500 and is signed by J Hammond Director. (see photos) This vintage hand made Baby Rabbit was so early that it didn’t make it into Border Fine Arts 1st catalogue. Beautiful lifelike sculpture with amazing detailing and in mint condition standing on a wooden plinth. I bought it from new and has been in a display cabinet. This is a must for a collector. Beautifully painted scene features a cat sitting atop a pile of books and a chair, a few feathers stuck to its whiskers and a suspiciously empty birdcage. Signed with her initials on the base mount, labelled and numbered on the underside of the base. Number 208/1250, so one of the rare early editions. Excellent pre-owned condition, paintwork in fine order. The gold wire metal cage with opening and closing door! A couple of tiny scuffs, nothing noticeable or that detracts from the artwork.
