Comic and Curious Cats (A4962) created by Linda Jane Smith and manufactured in China for Border Fine Arts (2000). This figurine is pre-owned and in good condition, increasingly rare after more than two decades, it is unboxed and has lost the original tag, but a substitute tag has been created. “Outside Privy” is quite simply Awesome! Weighing nearly 2½ kg and with dimensions of 16½ x 20 x 24cms, mounted on a dark wood base which itself is covered with green baize to protect your display surface. As you can see from the photographs it is teeming with life, packed with detail and seems to offer something new every time you look. With cats swinging on the door, climbing through the roof, pursuing mice, robbing nests, emerging from the pan and playing with a loofah your eye cannot keep still and is constantly drawn to a fresh delight. It is part of a UK Limited edition of 1500 and at the rear of the privy, near the artist’s initials JBM (Janet B Miller) the piece no 093 can be seen. Thank you for your interest.
