This BORDER FINE ARTS figurine features a group of mice enjoying some sweet corn. It is made of resin with a wooden base and has a colorful, multi-colored design. This piece is an original and was produced in 1980, making it a rare and retired collectible. Please see pics for details.

Border Fine Arts German Shepherd Rare 1982 by Ray Ayres (supplied with base). Height 16cm (7 inches). Width 12cm (5 inches). Length 20cm (8 inches). Master Sculptor and Designer, Ray Ayres has endorsed this. Which makes this a rare and highly collectable, in excellent condition (please see pictures). This model was not supplied with a base and the base has faded. Cannot be brought new! The Beginning of Border Fine Arts. Border Fine Arts was founded in 1974 in Langholm in the Esk Valley, on the border of Scotland and England – hence the company’s name. The majority of the pieces are created and made by hand. End of an Era for Border Fine Arts. Border Fine Arts being highly successful for several decades, a decline in demand led to the closure of the firm in 2016.
I cannot find any chips, cracks etc and as you can see by the detailed photographs it is in an excellent ready to display condition. Please ignore any white from the flash. It will be very well packed for posting.
The delicate and finely crafted resin sculpture features a charming scene of mice gathered around a cozy fireplace. The piece is signed by the artist and was manufactured in Japan during the 1980s.
