Border Fine Arts “A Major Decision” Sculpture. Made in Scotland by Border Fine Arts in 1993. Vignette featuring a Fordson Major tractor with salesman and potential customer. Highly detailed sculpture made of resin and hand-painted. Limited edition of 1500. This is number 1500 / 1500 – The final one produced. Fordson sign at the front has been previously damaged and neatly restored. The back fence post has also been repaired and the front post has a crack along the bottom and a small chunk missing on the inner side. The metal steering wheel is slightly misshapen and has a couple of paint chips. There are some tiny paint rubs, mostly on the back of the customer figure. Otherwise in good condition. The wooden plinth is a slightly darker shade around the edge where the model has been displayed. Some surface wear to the varnish layer. The model (not including the wooden plinth) is approx. 30cm width x 17cm depth. No packaging or paperwork. Will be packaged to a professional standard using high quality packing materials. Border Fine Arts’At The Vintage’ Model by Ray Ayres (B0517) with certificate and box – slight a/f This stunning’AT The Vinatge’ with certificate and box is manufactured by the well renowned Border Fine Arts, Scotland, England. This model features a farmer on his Fordson E27N Tractor with a plough on the back. This was modelled by Ray Ayres and it was put into production in 2000 in a limited edition of only 2000 models produced, this is model number 603. The condition on this model is good, the tractors pipe is missing (please see photo, it is very minor and not noticeable when displayed, there is a small part of the exhaust that I found, please see photo), however there is no further damage including no cracks and no restorations! This is a charming piece with a stunning classic look. Complete with certificate and original box.

Item has been on display previously, but shows little to no signs of wear as a result of this from what I can see, although please do feel free to check for yourself to make sure you are happy before purchasing! Item comes as the model scene and the base as two separate pieces, but held together with some brass studs that the scene sits on to keep it stable. To give it the best chance of arriving safe and sound I will separate these before sending and wrap each up, to avoid them banging into each other and potentially damaging them during transit. When sat on its base the figure measures at about 17cm tall, 29cm wide and 15.5cm long. Please study the pictures carefully to make sure you are satisfied before purchasing, and if you have any other questions, or need any other pictures, please feel free to ask and I’ll try my best to help out!
