A very rare vintage piece by Border Fine Arts – believed to be from the early 1980s. This limited edition model shows a farmer and his Border Collie herding some sheep and lambs through a gate. The model is marked BFA SCOTLAND with a C & 83. It is signed Ayres (Ray Ayres) and is numbered 279/850. The green baize on the base of the model has a sticker HANDMADE IN SCOTLAND BY BORDER FINE ARTS. In excellent condition – the dog has lost the top of his right ear, slight fading on wooden base – no other obvious flaws. No box or certificate. A rare and very special collectible vintage piece.
