Bramble Hedge Millenium Snow Ball BO555 645/999. Number 645 of this limited edition Border Fine Arts figurine. Supplied with the plynth, box and invitation the the ball which is also the certificate of authenticity. REQUIRES ATTENTION as a small piece has broken off as can be seen in the pictures, however the piece is included. BORDER FINE ARTS, EARLY LAMBS LATE SNOW 1988 – With Box & Cert. Will be well packed as obviously a delicate item! It is a very rare example from 1988 and comes complete with its plinth, original box and a BFA certificate. Handmade in Scotland and sculptured by master sculptor Ray Ayres. Piece has been signed by Ayres as per the photos. Has the BFA gold sticker on the green baize of the actual sculpture. Please note there is very slight damage to the sheep on the left and I have tried to show this on the photos. It is impossible to see unless you look very closely, but there is a very slight split on the left hand leg. Other than the minor issue mentioned, I can see no other obvious signs of damage. Given it is 32 years old and very delicate, it has been very well looked after! As with all BFA pieces, there are lots of wonderful things to look at and plenty of detail to enjoy. Made by Border Fine Arts, Schmid, and the Walt Disney Company, in Scotland 1989. 6.5″ tall, 12″ wide, 10.5 deep. A lovely depiction of Snow White, waking up in bed surprised, surrounded by the Seven Dwarfs, (Sleepy, Dopey, Sneezy, Happy, Grumpy, Doc, and Bashful) a little yellow bird, a squirrel, and a bunny rabbit. Cold cast porcelain bisque and painted entirely by hand. The colors are vibrant yet very soft pastels. The detail is very precise and the added touches such as the animals are very delicate. The quilting in the spread is gorgeous as well. A rabbit to her right and a squirrel to her left and a bird on top of Dopey’s hat. The Dwarf’s peeking over the end of the bed as Snow White is startled and the expression on her face of surprise is very nice. The piece is numbered 460/1500. Comes with the original box and packing and the COA as well. The piece measures 10″ deep by 10 3/4″ wide. It is 8 5/8″ by Snow White and 3 3/4″ by The Dwarf’s. The base is made of wood and measures 12 1/2″ wide and 11 1/4″ deep. The COA bears the names Paul A Schmid III President of Schmid at that time and also at the time of production John H.
