Border Fine Arts “A Major Decision” Sculpture. Made in Scotland by Border Fine Arts in 1993. Vignette featuring a Fordson Major tractor with salesman and potential customer. Highly detailed sculpture made of resin and hand-painted. Limited edition of 1500. This is number 1500 / 1500 – The final one produced. Fordson sign at the front has been previously damaged and neatly restored. The back fence post has also been repaired and the front post has a crack along the bottom and a small chunk missing on the inner side. The metal steering wheel is slightly misshapen and has a couple of paint chips. There are some tiny paint rubs, mostly on the back of the customer figure. Otherwise in good condition. The wooden plinth is a slightly darker shade around the edge where the model has been displayed. Some surface wear to the varnish layer. The model (not including the wooden plinth) is approx. 30cm width x 17cm depth. No packaging or paperwork. Will be packaged to a professional standard using high quality packing materials. This exquisite figurine depicts a heartwarming scene of Lowell Davis and his wife driving their Foxfire Farm truck home from the market with their beloved dog hooker in the back and two dogs chasing the truck down the drive with chickens running out of the way. This beautiful vintage (1984) figurine is one of a limited edition (# 1180/1200). It is made of cold cast porcelain and was made and hand-painted in Scotland by Border Fine Arts. This figurine is double signed! It has the Lowell Davis stamp as well as the personal autograph of Lowell Davis himself. The figurine stands 4 inches tall (with the base) and measures 10.5 inches in length (base) and 8 inches in width (base). The figurine comes in a new box and includes a new colorful story card.
