This is a superb example of the seldom seen Border Fine Arts Model No 118 of a “Herdwick Ewe” by their master sculptor Ray Ayres. The Herdwick Ewe was introduced in January 1990 & retired December 1991 & now commands a very high value. The mounted piece measures 6″ x 4.5″ x 4 high, and is in excellent condition. The base of the plinth is covered in green baize & the figurine has the BFA label. Border Fine Arts’The Coronation 1953′ (Gold State Coach), model No. B0810 by Ray Ayres, issued in 2003 limited edition 225/350 for the Golden Anniversary Celebration, on wood base, with box. No certificate but clearly stamped with Limited Edition number. This is a magnificent piece with incredible detail. Issued in a limited edition of 350. This is number 225 of 350. Length is 29.5 inches, width is 19.5 inches, height is 7.5 inches. There is no obvious damage but please note this is an extensive and highly detailed sculpture. There could be some very minor flaws. Colours and paintwork are in very good order. The base is excellent with only very minor wear. The original box will be supplied. Please zoom in on photos, more will follow shortly.
