The highly vulnerable areas-including the long central tail feather, sharp beak tip, fine leg claws, and fragile mushroom edges-are completely intact with absolutely no damage or structural repairs. The textured feather molding holds its vibrant, mottled colors beautifully. Under close top-down inspection, there are a few minor, tiny flecks of paint loss on the top of the green crown and on one ear tuft tip where the lighter base material shows through slightly. The underside retains its original green felt baize and the crisp factory adhesive tracking label. The molded resin base also features the authentic incised. BOXED 2001 L/E Border Fine Arts TALE OF GINGER & PICKLES Figurine Annual Tableau. Border fine arts figurine – limited edition #229 of 2000. The tale of ginger and pickles – A0460. This is a lovely figurine of Beatrix Potter animals gathered in front of Ginger & Pickles shop. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. It was issued in 2001 as the Limited Edition Annual Tableau. It would originally have had a Certificate but that is no longer present. It stands approximately 7 inches (17.75cm) high and 9.5 inches (24cm) at its widest. The box does show signs of minor storage wear and tear as pictured. I have as usual shown a number of pictures which can all be enlarged for you to see the condition for yourself. All white dots/blotches are light reflection not faults – my apologies. I think the pictures speak for themselves but if I can tell you any more please ask. For more expensive items these may be the only options offered. Border Fine Arts Beatrix Potter figures. I have 19 different figurines all in perfect condition in original boxes (except 1). All bought in the 1990’s and kept in a display cabinet. These were made in England (except 1, China). These are made from Thorionware, a unique resin composition process developed by Border Fine Arts which allows the artist great scope for exciting, detailed designs previously impossible in ceramic sculptures.
