“A Bit of a Stretch ” by Border Fine Arts is a limited-edition figurine, created by the celebrated artist Ray Ayers and made and hand-painted in Scotland. The full edition numbered just 500 pieces, and of these 50 were commissioned by Peter Jones as an exclusive GOLD edition. This is number 12 and is presented with a Certificate of Authenticity in confirmation. With his customary skill and eye for detail, Ayers has created a tableau of three generations of the same family, working in harmony to bring in the crop, but each finding It’s a bit of a stretch! The grandson is behind the wheel of the McCormick Farmail Tractor and is having to sit well forward for his feet to reach the pedals. Behind him, Dad strains to lift up the bales for Grandfather to stack on the farm trailer. Sadly, the original box is missing, but this exquisite figurine will travel to you securely and safely in a double wall box, packed with bubble wrap and protective foam. Thank you for your interest. One of the ornaments (The Tailor of Gloucester) is slightly damaged and the candlestick is snapped off of the base. This could potentially be fixed with carefully gluing it back together.
