Historic Background: Border Fine Arts, founded in 1974 in Scotland, is highly regarded for its lifelike and detailed cold cast porcelain figurines. This particular piece is part of the “All Creatures Great and Small” collection, which was inspired by the beloved books of James Herriot (the pen name of veterinary surgeon James Alfred Wight). Pieces from this collection are particularly sought after by collectors due to their connection to a cherished literary and television classic. The company’s figurines are celebrated for their artistry and realistic portrayal of animals, making them treasured collectibles. Artist: Anne Wall (signed). Title: “Wrong Side of the Fence”. Edition: Limited Edition, 782/1500. Origin: Hand Made in Scotland. Condition: Good pre-owned condition. There is a small chip on one of the fence posts (see photo). The figurine and base are otherwise in great shape. Measurements: The figurine is approximately 5.5 inches tall and weighs 1357g (including the base), as shown in the photos.
