PRETENDERS TO THE THRONE. Pretenders to the Throne was made by Border Fine Arts exclusively for Wheelers of Loughborough in a limited edition of only 250 in 2002. This Pretenders to the Throne is number 8:250. Pretenders to the Throne depicts the brambly hedge mice role playing in the magnificent throne room. The tableau rests on a wood base which is separate and signed by Jill Barkham (see picture), picture 3 shows the impressed LTD. And the impressed mark for Wheelers of Loughborough. Condition is excellent, no chips, cracks or restoration: and this tableau comes complete with certificate of authenticity and is very rare. A beautiful and very limited edition which would enhance any Brambly Hedge collection. WOOD BASE – 30cm x 17cm SCULPTURE BASE – 26.5cm x 13.5cm. SCULPTURE – 20cm High x 28cm Wide.
